About Us

Aloha and E Komo Mai, (Hello and Welcome)

I'm Mary Saunders also know as Lokelani or Auntie Loke. I'm the owner and head teacher of Lokes Looks
Music & Dance Studio located in Tracy, CA.  I've been teaching music and dance for over 25 years.  Born
and raised in the State of New York, I began studying dance at the age of 4 and music at the age of 10.  I
have both a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and a Masters of Education degree.

I love watching children and adults as they learn and grow in the Arts and I love seeing the pleasure and fun
that my students have while learning.  I like to keep all my classes fun by creating a non pressured
    atmosphere for all who come.

In addition to teaching, I have been sewing and designing Hawaiian clothing for over 20 years and recently starting making
Belly Dance Costumes. You can find some of my designs in my boutique located inside the studio. I also custom make items for
special occasions like the hip belt I made for Miss Fiji, so come see me next time you have a special event.

    Mahalo,

    Mary Saunders/Auntie Loke

Hi!  I'm Ms. Shelly and I love to dance.  I teach both group and private Belly Dance lessons here at Lokes Looks.   I
have studied Belly Dancing for the past two years under the direction of Ms. Mary.

I really love performing.  Along with Ms Mary, I have been dancing at various private and public events throughout
Tracy including the Downtown Arts Festival and the Bean Festival.  I really enjoy choreographing and teaching here at
Lokes Looks.  My love for dance has also brought me to learn other dance styles offered at Lokes Looks including the
    Hula/Tahitian dances.

If you want to have fun and get a great work out, join one of my classes.  I look forward to meeting you soon.
Ms. Shelly, Assistant Belly Dance Teacher
